I want it more than I can tell

Haven't written in a few days.
Took a leap of faith and reached out to the manager of Preservice and followed up on my application. I thought I fucked up by being too forward but she contacted me not long after wanting to set up a Zoom interview for Friday at 9am. I didn't go into work until 10 so I said sure, woke up at 7am, got presentable, only for her to IM me and tell me she had a meeting pop up but would arrange a phone call at 5:30PM. Got through my day, got home, paced around until 5:30. The interview went amazing and I don't want to assume but I think my chances are awesome. Right now Preservice is working from home because of COVID, but their regular home base is Benson Tower, downtown, which would be a fucking bitch. I'd have to wake up super early because unlike Driftwood, which is right down the street, if I wake up late there's no just 'throwing on my tee and pants' and leaving. This is an actual 'business casual' job. I really hope they make the choice to stay at home even after COVID, because even though I'm rarely ever late, shit happens. Only one thing bad about the job-there's a strict no vacation policy through the first two weeks of January, because that's Preservice's busiest time. Unfortunately, that's usually when Wizard World is. She was asking a lot of involved questions and I had to be quick with my answers so I wish I would have asked her if that included weekends at the end of the call. If it doesn't include weekends, then I'm in the clear. I only ever go to WW on Saturday. That is, if they hold it again. Right now, my focus really isn't WW. It's getting a goddamn job so I can stop thinking of my apartment as 'the apartment' and distancing myself emotionally from it. They said they'd let me know in two weeks, but given that next week is Thanksgiving, we'll see. If I don't get this job, I might have to leave Ochsner, which I don't want to do. I have 8 years worth of experience here. I guess I can ask Joanie on the whole weekend January thing.
I want this job so badly that I dreamed about it last night.
Last night I went over to Autum's and hung out with her and Mom and David, who I really like. David is Autum's new boyfriend and he's really, really cool. He put together some furniture for her and Mom took 3 hours to make Monte Cristos, but holy fuck me they were delicious. I took some home and will heat them up for breakfast.
Plans for Thanksgiving include going over to Aunt Cathi's and then back to Mom's for hanging out, and then that weekend I'm doing a special photo project for my grandma so I might just stay over there and scan some pictures. I have to work Friday after Thanksgiving but it's a half day. I have to somehow get my stupid printer downstairs so Dad can fix it, the print head is jammed and I don't have an extra $80 to get a new scanner.
Renfaire is coming up in a few weeks. I'm looking forward to it but I have a grave money issue that's worrying me right now so it's hard to focus on it.
Guess I'll go run some errands. Fingers and toes crossed.
