I don't take things as they come

So, another trip around the sun. Beautiful.

My party was a roaring success. My only regret is that I don't remember the end of it.

The group came over Saturday night. We went to Total Wine (where we met Autum & Riley coming out) and Bryan once again got wayyyy too much booze. Then we went to Acme, where Lacey kindly bought me dinner for my birthday. I had a roast beef poboy, gumbo, and a Killer drink. We had a lot of fun, and when we got back to my place we all changed into our PJs and watched Eddie Murphy's Delirious and drank Buttery Nipples (sooo good) that Bryan had made. On Sunday I woke up early (of course) and had to run to Walmart to get an extra bag of meatballs. Sid went home to check on the dogs, and Bryan and Lacey and I went to Walmart for last minute provisions. We laid around (well they did, mostly) until it was time to get ready. Sid came back over and we all piled in the cars, met Mom and Dad and Dav at McAllisters to get the potato salad, drove to Slidell, got the Canes, then went to Picayune, stopped at Dollar General and got some balloon stuff. Then we were finally able to hit the lake. Dude, it was epic as fuck. Those people have a gold mine out there.

Setting up was hectic but in the end a lot of people showed up, and we really had a great time. I started doing a lot of shots which resulted in me being very drunk (apparently I jumped off of the diving board, which I don't even remember doing) and losing the ability to speak. I only communicated in sign language, and apparently I really wanted a hot dog. At one point we were all dancing and my Dad actually grabbed me and started dancing with me, like slow dancing. That has NEVER happened before. Ever. I'm glad someone got it on tape. Then he whispered that he loved me and he hurried off. Dad isn't much for saying that very often, so I'm glad I was present enough to hear it and remember it.

My friends are awesome. They got me home, up 3 flights of stairs, and in my bed. They also managed to get all of my shit from the pavilion and didn't lose one thing. I woke up around 4am feeling like death, though. By the time 8:30 rolled around, I felt halfway decent enough to get on the road. My printer shit the bed, so I needed a scanner for my Instax pics, so I went to Mom's and used theirs and ganked some leftovers. Then I went to LaPlace and got Jack, then came home and laid around and did photos. It was a relaxing birthday, and I'm REALLY glad I had the foresight to take off.

Tonight I'm going to try to relax as much as I can because I feel like my brain hasn't stopped since Friday. I have to go to Luling and get some stuff from Mom and then drop off some clothes to Holly, but when I get home it's on like donkey kong.
