What a weekend.
Friday night, we got ready to go over to Zach and Holly's. Scott had cooked some meatballs and I needed to go to the store to get some finger sandwiches but we took our own cars in case Scott wanted to stay and play games. I had to go all the way to the Rouses on Clearview and paid $17 for a little bitty container of finger sandwiches which is a rip off. We got to their apartment and hauled everything inside. Neither Scott nor I had dressed up, but everybody else did. A lot of people wearing snuggies. It was the usual suspects: Brittany, Derek C, Holly, Zach, Tory, Derek D, Glen, Stacie and little Jamie, Molly, Hava, Bianca, Patrick, Kelly, Ahri, Sean (That was a great surprise) Tory's girlfriend who I don't know the name of, but she's super cute, and Derek C's cousin Sidney (ironically) who's visiting from Jackson and probably thought we were insane.
There was beer pong and treats. I brought my Instax 300 and took all the pictures. It was the first party that Holly and Zach had hosted In their new house and I was jealous of their little backyard out there. They had it strung out with all these pretty lights and there was a bonfire too. Sean started making this drink with like ten different liquors in it. In the spirit of Halloween, they started a game of Werewolf by the fire. I of course didn't play but took many pictures.
I brought some Mike's hard lemonade and took a screw ball shot with Derek C but otherwise wasn't very interested in drinking. Visited for a while more and headed back to Kenner. I went and looked for some Halloween presets for the photos, which is becoming a new favorite hobby. Completely and utterly passed out.
Woke up Saturday and immediately did pictures and lazed around until it was time to go. Scott and I picked up his mom at Walmart and then headed over the bridge to Covington again. Stopped at Jersey Mike's. Again. Yes, it's an obsession. She was a fan. I'm starting a movement.
And we went down the road to 2nd & Charles but while we were passing up the parking lot, I saw a car show, so we decided to check that out. Normally, I don't go to car shows, but this one was pretty neat. There was a damn DeLorean there! It was the cleanest and most put together Delorean I've ever seen. Scott got a classic Back to the Future picture with it. Then we went around the corner to 2nd & Charles. Scott and Ms. Ellen cleaned up in there. I saw a few things but but nothing justifiable, I kept putting things back. I'm getting pretty good at talking myself out of things, plus I'm running out of room for shit. In the end, I got another back scratcher, some knockoff mini brands toy thing, and a little Schitts Creek thing for Mom. We got back on the bridge and halfway to Kenner, we decided to go to Five Below. I got Jack another pillow for his crate and a cute Chewbacca keychain. Went next door toward Michael's but didn't get anything in there, personally. Said goodbye to Ms. Ellen, went to Walmart for some more drinks. Came back here and lazed around, watched some Big Bang. Sleep.
Woke up. Got ready. Drove to Luling, picked up birthday money. I wanted to go clean out my car but the car station was closed. Tried to go to Winn Dixie to find something but didn't. Drove to Elmwood Big Lots. Got a few things including a really cute Baby Yoda body pillow. Went to Charming Charlie's and bought some earrings and a necklace. Tried to go to two other Winn Dixie's to find what I needed, that failed.
I've done nothing since I've been home but read and bathe. Next week and I don't have anything planned except visiting my grandma. Nothing's on the docket until November 20th.
These days, it's more about what I do than rather what I feel cause I can't trust anything I feel.
