the world of men

Haven't written lately due to lack of mobility.
Last weekend I was almost totally useless due to my arm. Standing up was painful so I tried to lie down. That was a big mistake-I got on my sofa and had to get up to get some water and it took me upwards of ten minutes to sit up. I probably looked like an idiot.
Thankfully I have a great boss and wonderful coworkers. When I got to work on Monday I was not in a good way. Caroline had to help calm me down as Kayla needled me. I thought I was going to pass out. The needling helped big time. It still hurts when I lie down (it's very hard to get comfortable at night) but she needled me again on Wednesday or Tuesday and my upper trap was so constricted that I felt the needles jumping in my skin every time she tapped them.
It is much better, even though getting comfortable is still a bitch. I gave up on trying to get any help from an MD as far as an rX goes, they don't give you shit anymore because they're afraid to lose their license, but if you don't want to help people don't become a fucking MD.
Due to the fact that I can't move much, I've been reading up to about 3-4 books at a time. Books about hurricanes and Nazis and World Fairs and serial murderers. Not sure why I'm so hungry for knowledge but it beats being unproductive. I read the Catcher in the Rye and all I can say about it is that Holden Caulfield is extremely useless and idle and he reminds me of the characters in Bret Easton Ellis books and I don't like those books because they make me feel lazy and stupid and useless and idle. I do know, however, in the course of reading these old books and some of these older 'documentary' books, that most people/characters kept a diary, or a journal. Of course, most of it was important, not my silly and boring little ramblings here, but it was comforting to know that once upon a time people valued words just as much as actions and used them constructively.
I took off my BC patch because it was making me insane and I'm already at odds already, what with the holidays coming up and everything falling down around my ears again. Thank God it's Friday, and I never thought I'd say this but thank Christ for the cold, even though it's not helping my arm. I haven't had to put on my AC in a few days, though I do put on the heat from time to time so Jack & I don't freeze to death.
Sid was kind enough to give me access to his Disney+ so I've been in heaven, watching all sorts of old Disney cartoons and movies and if Scott gets his ass to my apartment in a reasonable timeframe tonight we're going to start the Mandelorian.
Lacey is giving me her old mattress this Sunday so the guys are gonna help bring it up. Hopefully it helps with my arm and my neck.
I'm so very hungry. I don't know if I want chinese or pizza but I don't feel like cooking. However, I am going to make groceries after work so I just need to stop spending $ and eat what I have.
but ughhh I want cold breakfast pizza
